  1. You guys are awesome.
    Just love the game.

Would like to see improved controls on routing, supply chain, path construction.
Also hope to see bigger cities, with ability to expand by constructing own commercial, or industrial buildings.
Better economic simulation across the game world.

Sorry für den 3ten Post in Folge, but the hype is real.

    MfG Thomas

  5. This looks amazing guys!! Cannot wait! I want to ask though, will the planes be easier to get working? Also would we be able to set what each train, lorry, boat or plane, cannot pick up? We can currently set the goods we want to pick up but we can’t say what we don’t want to pick up.

  6. This is just awesome, the day I first bought transport fever for me, was the best day as a pc gamer of my life. And I really cannot believe that a sequel is coming. I know you guys won’t disappoint but please don’t. Thank you guys again for making it. I’ll pre order it as soon as it’s up.

  8. I am super happy to officially announce that you can shove it up your rear. You can’t sell one game thrice. Thanks for the rip-off. I’ll play the unfinished abandoned Transport Fever 1. Bue.

    • You literally just talked about EVERY GAME IN EXISTENCE. Not one game is a “new” game anymore and is simply a copy and hopefully an expansion on an old game.

  9. Please add timetables, please add timetables, please add timetables, please add timetables, ….

The game is not playable in later game without timetabes for vehicles. I hate it, but will pay for the new game anyway, but add timetables please 😀

  12. Fantastic. Thanks for the announcement. Looking forward to it. Love Transport Fever.

For the sand pit version, may be the following options cpuld enhance the product:

    1. What would really take Transport Fever to the next level, and make it unique compared to the first, is a town builder element linked to resources and transport. A bit like crossing City Skylines with Transport Fever, but with the need to transport resources, materials and equipment? Add town halls, guilds and markets to increase trade, hospitals and welfare to increase worker productivity, garages and manufacturing plants to increase the type and effectiveness of vehicles, schools, colleges, universities and laboratories to advance tech trees and productivity.

    2. Additionally the option to have strategic mini missions as villages, towns and cities grow, maybe to further tech tree development would add another level, a bit like in Transport Tycoon.

    3. Other option could include for villages, towns and cities to produce / need mail, power (coal, gas, oil, woodfuel and renewable tech trees), water (if not located near streams and rivers) and rubbish (especially developing a recycling tech tree).

    4. Can we also place villages and then grow them up into cities and have business which need workers to be transported to them.

    5. Off screen trading hubs with computer partners where ships, trains and planes can deliver good for rewards or you can increase technology or limited resources by trading.

    6. Management team of AI heads of departments to increase productivity of Admin, HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Media etc. to grow skills and experience across your company.

    6. Finally can raw reources such as coal, iron ore, water, stone etc. be located in strategic places on the map, making you locate processing buildings in key locations and create transport hubs and link manufacturing buildings to communities?

Any way, best of luck with the development!

  13. Super Nachricht!

    Mfg

  15. Really love the game. To define bus and train routes, would it be possible to include a number editor? A bus or train could be allocated a number on the front or side eg. No.1 No. 45 No.574? Really looking forward to the new game. Thank you for all of your efforts.l

  16. Cool! Looking once again forward to some new and authentic vehicle models 🙂

While you’re at it, please improve the management components of the game. In TPF 1, you could just not take it seriously. I was sorely missing statistics and information on how my company is doing and growing. I could not see, for instance, if my company is actually financially sustainable because depreciation of my vehicles was nowhere to be seen. A big problem when playing on hard!
Oh, and a second request: a blueprint mode, like in Anno 1800, where you can lay infrastructure as a blueprint first before spending the money. I always lost a lot of money on botched terrain corrections etc.

  17. Suuuuuuuuuppper, endlich

  18. Thing I’d like to see most is the natural environment evolving like the towns and cities, so hedgerows appear over time next to railways and roads, track and infrastructure ageing, fields changing over time and the like. This could open the option to add maintenance of the network as another cost, the longer left the slower trains can travel safely. This to show over time that your network becomes part of the world thereby being more realistic

    Other features I’d love:
    – Multiplayer (competitive, coop or team play)
    – Ability to option trains reversing (this new feature is now an annoyance in TF)
    – Ability of trains to “run-around” particularly important for loco hauled trains
    – Street Level Walkabout mode
    – Closer buildings, so european style cities can evolve
    – More power to the player to influence city growth based on placement of infrastructure (many real world examples of this, “metro-land London” for instance

  19. Multiplayer competitive. First, I want to say I love your games, I am not able to fully play them because I have a pretty crappy computer, but just watching people play it is cool. But here is my idea for multiplayer competitive when you do add it.

So here in the states, most of the tracks are owned by different private rail companies. So how do you run a train from coast to coast? Well, you pay the company to run on their tracks. I think this would fix a lot of things in the game in a competitive format and would change gameplay quite a bit. If there is a popular line you want to run a train on, but don’t want to build tracks then you and the other player can agree on a price for you to run on their tracks. Obviously long term it is better to run your own. But track laying can be expensive. Also, I think the player should be able to buy land. This would mean that the player with the track can force his opponents to either spend A LOT of money running tracks, plan a route with multiple train stops, or just use his line. It would add an extra level of complexity to the game that I think would answer a lot of questions about how multiplayer should work. Also, I think cities should be able to run their own tracks and build their own stations. That way if a player wants to use the cities tracks and stations they have to pay the city.

I think this would also answer a lot of questions with AI opponents and reduce the number of tracks culturing the game map.

Second note. I do think you should go back to the old system of industries growing and reducing. But I think that they don’t have to rely on the player to get their product where it needs to go. I think it would be cool if the players began having to create and sign contracts with industries saying they will deliver this much cargo for this price. If the industry doesn’t meet the amount of cargo required the player still makes his money. If the player doesn’t fulfill his side of the contract he has to pay a fine. This would keep production constant and no longer require the industry to rely on the player to produce and sell goods.

Obviously, I am not talking about simple things. But these are just some ideas maybe you can take bits and pieces from in order to enhance or rethink your product to fit a different play style.
